Biography

I like telling data-driven stories. I have researcher and risk analyst level experience in large-scale behavioural analysis, log-based user modelling, perception modelling and mathematical demography with broader implications in real-world settings. My doctoral thesis addressed issues around inclusiveness in open online learning with a focus on geo-cultural and socioeconomic contexts. I have worked as a Research Fellow (for Game Data Science) at University College London. During my ESRC postdoctoral fellowship at the Raspberry Pi Computing Education Research Centre, I had the opportunity to explore diversity in open online computing education.

Research

My research interests are:

  • Bias and fairness in AI systems
  • Behavioral modeling in hedonic information systems
  • Inclusiveness and accessibility in open online learning
  • User contexts for adaptive user interface
