Biography

Heidi Howard is a Research Fellow in Computer Science at Cambridge University’s Trinity Hall and an Affiliated Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Technology. Heidi’s research sits at the intersection between the theory and practice of distributed computing and focuses on improving the consistency and resilience of distributed computer systems. In 2019, Heidi received her Ph.D. from Cambridge University for her research on distributed consensus and she is best known for her generalizations of the widely used Paxos algorithm, including her research on Flexible Paxos. More information is available on heidihoward.co.uk.
