On world IPv6 day there is a possibility of disruption of network services due to machine with dual stack not working correctly. Although we will be making small changes, most of the changes are outwith our control.
If you experience problems, please contact sys-admin so that we can monitor and try to sort things. When we last enabled local services via IPv6 as well as IPv4 there were problems due to some Windows machines thinking that they have IPv6 connectivity, trying to use the IPv6 address, and failing. We believe that the particular problem was fixed, but there may be others.
