Since 2024 I'm an Associate Professor in Cambridge. My research is on decentralised systems, local-first collaboration software, and security protocols.
My book, Designing Data-Intensive Applications, covers the architecture of a broad range of databases and distributed data processing systems. Over 200,000 copies have been sold, and it has been translated into eight languages.
