Anna joined the Department in December 2022, following a period of working as a freelance and volunteer translator and receiving her bachelor's degree in Translation from Spanish and English at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv earlier that year.
She works at both front and back Reception offices – and often a friendly chat can be received as a bonus to your visit!
Anna likes to stay socially active and you are likely to run into her if you visit one of the events organised by the local Ukrainian community. Volunteering has been one of the constants throughout her life, allowing for a collection of experiences, including, but not limited to organising transfers for sports delegations taking part in an international dragon boat club crew championship, working on the overnight reception at the international tango festival and leading one of the teams overseeing recycling across the campus for a number of years.
Her interests lie in beekeeping, psychology, linguistics, human rights movements, environment, cultural exchange and many others.
Having been a resident of Cambridge for a relatively short time (since September 2022) she would be very happy if you decide to share some local wisdom, or maybe disclose your favourite spots around the city and nearby.
