I received my Ph.D. degree from the University of Cambridger, 2007 (Data Centric Asynchronous Communication) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge in 2003. Previously, I have spent several years with IBM (US, Japan, Italy and UK).

Research
My research interests span distributed systems, networking and databases, including large-scale graph processing. My group’s current research focusses on auto-tuning of data processing/analytics framework to deal with complex parameter space. To this end, we apply machine learning approaches such as Bayesian Optimisation and Reinforcement Learning, where we integrate structural information into the probabilistic perfomance model.
