Law Lords rule in favour of Procul Harum's Matthew Fisher

Computer Laboratory graduate Matthew Fisher, the composer behind the organ introduction to Procol Harum's 'A Whiter Shade of Pale', has won the right to a share of the song's royalties after a three-year court battle.

Baroness Hale, one of the five Law Lords hearing the case, said in her contribution to the rulings: "As one of those people who remember the sixties, I am glad that the author of that memorable organ part has at last achieved the recognition he deserves."
