UPS move 10th January 2017

On the 10th January the UPS was moved. This left core services vulnerable to building power outage until it is recommissioned later that day.

At the same time one of our switches in the West Cambridge Data Centre was moved within the cabinet to improve air-flow.

Following a number of brute force password attacks against our Windows Terminal Server hosts these have now been restricted to only accept connections from clients within the University network. If you need to access them from outside that network then first connect using a VPN.

TexLive 2015 now available on the filer

The latest version of TeXLive is now available on the filer in /usr/groups/texlive. Using the standard TeXLive naming convention, it is in the directory 2015.

The symb links oldest, current and latest point to 2012, 2013 and 2015 respectively.
