The Permanence and Durability Workshop: Bringing Science and Voluntary Carbon Market Policy Together

About

The University of Cambridge will host a workshop to assist the further development of higher standards in the voluntary carbon market. The workshop will be run by the co-chairs of the Integrity Council for Voluntary Carbon Market's 'Permanence' Continuous Improvement Work Program. The two-day in-person workshop will convene key experts from across academia, finance, policy, and the VCM for two days in Cambridge, UK to unpack various approaches and determine which upholds scientific rigour and legitimacy of climate impact while balancing policy, legal, financial, and implementation trade-offs. 

Please note that the Permanence workshop is by direct invitation only. 

Effective immediately, all registrations submitted after January 25th are required to be accompanied by an official email confirmation from the University of Cambridge, verifying the acceptance of the respective individual.

Pembroke College, situated within a 10 to 15-minute walk from both Jesus College and the city centre, offers easy access to the Old Library externally through the Main Gate on Trumpington Street. Positioned to the west of the College, it stands to the left of the Old Court. The closest public parking is available at the Grand Arcade (previously Lion Yard) on Pembroke Street.
