Dr Advait Sarkar

My personal webpage contains an overview of my research interests and a full list of publications. I study human-computer interaction, with a focus on end-user programming, intelligent systems, and the future of work. This includes research on improving the design of spreadsheets, tools for visualisation and analysis of data, and tools for communication and collaboration in the workplace.

    Andrei Paleyes

    Andrei is a member of ML@CL group led by Prof. Neil Lawrence.

    He is interested in machine learning deployment and how it can be improved with better software systems. Before starting his PhD journey Andrei was developing software for a decade, working on everything from web applications to data center infrastructure to ML applications.

    My research focuses on machine learning and deep learning for natural language processing, including real-world applications in education, healthcare, creativity, social media and finance, such as grammatical error correction, automated assessment, summarisation, machine translation, textual information extraction, text classification, emotion detection, and sentiment analysis.

    I am always interested in collaborating with researchers that are working in the same/similar fields.

    I am also very happy to supervise Summer, Part II/III or Mphil projects in the fields of Efficient Machine Learning, Machine Learning Hardware Designs and Secure Machine Learning.
