On 1st April Dr Jeremy Yallop and Dr Jamie Vicary joined the Department as University Senior Lecturers.

Dr Jeremy Yallop, PhD, Edinburgh, 2010
Dr Yallop was previously a Senior Research Associate in the
Department and is a Fellow of Robinson College. His research is in
the design and use of functional programming languages and on
user-defined optimization.

Dr Jamie Vicary, PhD, Imperial College London, 2009
Jamie's research work focuses on applying new mathematical ideas, like higher category theory, to answer fundamental questions in classical and quantum computer science. He enjoys public engagement, delivering regular outreach workshops and speaking at science festivals. In 2018 he was awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship.
